Staff at the BEEC will tell anyone that will listen about how great it is spending time working outside with school students.  We all have numerous stories about the joys and adventures that children experience at Bournda, whether they are here for a day visit or a 3 day camp. The 34rd Bournda EEC World Environment Day Dinner speaker was Kirsty Ruddock, Principal Solicitor, Environmental Defenders Office-NSW. The topic Ms Ruddock covered was "Empowerment Through the Law". She spoke on environmental cases that she has worked on, and the dedicated people associated with these cases.

EDO-NSW is involved in a series of public interest environmental cases including cases about biodiversity, climate change, mining, water pollution and part 3A developments such as the re-development of Barangaroo.
