In 1996 Bournda Field Studies Centre completed the document "Survey of Land Rehabilitation in the Bega Valley Shire, a project funded by the NSW Government through its Environmental Trusts Program".
The aim of the project was to survey and document a representative sample of land rehabilitation works in the Bega Valley Shire, drawing together the knowledge and experience of those people who had already undertaken land rehabilitation works in the region and to make it available to others who may need to undertake such works in the future.
The image above was taken in 1996 for the preparation of this document. Schools wishing to visit these sites to investigate the effects of the rehabilitation works should contact Bournda EEC to make arrangements. More recent images of the sites will be added to this site in the future.
Copies of the Land Rehabilitation survey can also be obtained from Bournda EEC.
